New Key West fishing report - Capt Dave Navarro

Permit have begun to show on the backcountry flats of the Keys. With warm weather this February and March, we should be in store for some outstanding Permit fishing. Today we found Bonefish and Tarpon as well as Permit. The water temps sky rocketed into the upper 70's with a South wind on hand. New Marathon fishing report - Capt Dave Navarro

One snapper that has been hot throughout has been the mangrove. On the reef patches, in Hawk Channel, in the bridge passes and throughout the tall grass bottom areas of the bay, mangroves have been both numerous and hungry. Marathon fishing report from Adios Charters

Father and son, Tim and TJ Spino, ventured to the Keys from Milford MA for some holiday fun and included a day of fishing with ADIOS Charters out of 7 Mile Marina in Marathon.  Captains Josh Gilmartin and Nick Borraccino really put them on the action with amberjacks, sharks and these four large (and delicious) mutton snappers.   Shown L-R: Tim Spino, Capt. Key Largo fishing report - Capt George Clark - Rodeo Charters

Fishing has been up and down but we have been able to target a variety of species here lately with good success. Sail fishing is a pick right now but we are catching some nice Mahi while live bait fishing. Normally a summer time fish, Mahi venture thru keys waters year round and when they spy a lonely bait fish floating on the surface they don't hesitate to eat them straight away.

Tuna also enjoy live offerings and we have seen some nice black fins on the edge of the reef also. We have targeted tuna recently by trolling and have had great success along with the occasional Wahoo. King mackerel are biting pretty well in these same areas too, and some of the king fish have been over 30 pounds.
